In addition to the collections, it’s home to the Omni Theater, the first IMAX domed theater in the Southwest. The Museum recently announced plans for a new $65 million facility designed by the highly acclaimed architectural firm Legarreto + Legarreto to be built on its current site.

•  Every year, more than 300,000 people visit the Kimbell, which displays masterpieces from antiquity to the 20th century. Widely regarded as one of the finest public art facilities in the world, the museum is architect Louis Kahn’s most beautiful and revered creation. The Kimbell Art Foundation recently announced an addition to the Museum to be designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. The addition will be housed in a separate building across the street from the current Museum.

•  Two million visitors a year attend exciting events at this multi-use facility, which covers 85 acres – 45 under roof. The city’s largest annual event, the 23-day Fort Worth Stock and Rodeo, boasts a yearly attendance of 955,000. In addition, the facility hosts 270 days of high-profile equestrian events, including shows sponsored by the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association and National Cutting Horse Association.
